MsYoLee.com of/by yours truly documenting the evolution to style, travels and perspective on life through my lens & quirk.
“Yo is my maiden name & Lee is my married name, and together is what completes and makes me who I am today.” – MsYoLee
I am a Canadian currently residing in New York City. Full-time nine to fiver in the corporate world specializing in talent management and executive leadership development, this journey has taken me around the world to different industries, but I still felt the aspiring artsy side of me feel something was missing. So in 2010, as a means of a creative outlet to express myself, I created my namesake blog to add perspective to the growing conversation of the fashion evolution.
In the 7 plus years of running my site and re-branding in the midst, it has been invaluable to see the industry reshape from the inside out, especially as both a style influencer and fashion enthusiast. As more people start to develop personal brands – and brands try to become more human – connecting to audiences in real authentic ways has never been more important.
Flash forward to today, I’m humbled to have worked with an amazing list of brand partners including Puma, Unilever, Macy’s, TD Bank, Neutrogena, Polaroid, Motorola, Coca-Cola, Banana Republic, Geox, Verizon, Daniel Wellington, Sudio, West Elm, Bloomingdale’s, and many, more. I’ve also been honored to collaborate in global digital campaigns with luxury brands Sheraton Niagara Falls Spa, Komandoo Maldives, Ubud Hanging Garden Bali, Audi x Singapore Fashion Week, Remy Martin. Not to mention, I’ve been featured in some of my favorite print and online publications including Fashion Canada, Elle Canada, Harper’s Bazaar, Who What Wear, Fanique, ShopStyle and more.
My photographs have allowed me to tell an ongoing narrative of my evolving personal style. I love all things masculine and menswear inspired – think timeless meets classic with a hint of quirk (which is probably my awkward personality shining through lol). While many things have changed, some remain pretty consistent. You’ll rarely find me without my shades, a bold lip, a cool or interesting accessories, and polished fingertips.
I look forward to continuing to share my fashion and digital evolution with you – and hope to inspire you to do the same with me. Please reach out to me with style questions, comments, or just a simple hello!
