Blogger Spotlight: Tara Leydon

What better way to kick start 2015 with a new monthly segment for some inspiring “Blogger Spotlight”. This way, I can share some of my favourite bloggers who are just as passionate about what they do as much as I am.

January’s spotlight is a special one since she is a personal friend of mine. We have had our fair share of adventures together, mainly involving shopping, dining and laughing. Meet Tara, you may also be familiar with her totally inspiring personal home space decorations on her Instagram feeds @tara.adele.leydon or her professional makeup artistry on local talents and models @tlmakeupandimage, or her inspiring humanitarian stories while traveling the world that she shares on her personal blog TL Makeup and Image and on top of that her energy and kindness just lights up the room.

How she manages to balance them all and manage a full time job – is no wonder why I wanted her to be my very first feature. Meet January’s Blogger Spotlight Tara Leydon.

I asked Tara 32 random questions for us to get to know her better, her challenge was to try providing one-worded answers as best as she can.

One particular question that I asked Tara, as a Professional Make-up Artist is “what is one tip/advice you would give about make-up.” And she provided us with a simple yet profound response “Less is usually more. Don’t be afraid to experiment and try some looks you would not normally do – and don’t forget to have fun!”

So obviously this naturally lead to my favourite question, “What’s in your make-up bag? and the one must-have item you have with you at all times?

“My one must have item at all times is my Lucas Papaw Ointment Lip Balm from Australia.” explains Tara, and then provides me with a list of what is inside her make-up bag; MAC Pro Longwear Foundation, MAC Studio Finish Concealer, Hoola Bronzer by Benefit, MAC eyeshadow in Naked Lunch, Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Dark Brown, Nars blush in Torrid, Chanel highlighter, Chanel INIMITABLE INTENSE mascara in black, Avon eyeliner, Chanel Coco Shine Lipstick in Melba, and MAC Lipglass in C-Thru

I don’t know what it is about women and looking at make-up, but doesn’t it make you feel like a kid in a candy store?! Especially with all these pretty hues!

And now, a glimpse into her beautifully decorated home! I have seen her collections grow over time to what it is today, and there are so many inspiring and great ideas for our own personal space.

So I had to ask Tara “What made you first get into decorating your place?” To which she responds, “I have always been fond of interior decorating; I took a class in college. My dad is a designer so I have grew up in a house that was always changing and being re-designed. I love coming home to a nice place and I think your home tells a story about you so why not make it a nice one.”

Just have a look into her world, the walls’ collection alone are plenty of eye candy!

Isn’t her home just eclectic as she described in the one word challenge?! It’s truly a work of art Tara!

If you would like to know where she sources some of her beautiful pieces for her home, follow her on Instagram @tara.adele.leydon or visit her blog  TL Makeup and Image, and continue being inspired!

A special thanks to Tara for sharing your beautiful images, and hope you had fun answering the 32 one word challenge quiz! lol

Thanks for reading!
