Time to Celebrate Lunar New Year With Daniel Wellington

I am alive and well folks! I am so over 2016, and just to put the icing on the cake, I had to lose my phone on top of everything else that’s built-up to conclude the year. And I kind of went into a full-out panic attack—not because I would have to sell my soul to buy another (which I still did, and so if you were confused about why the pupils of my eyes lead into a dark abyss, there you have it) but because I had no idea how on earth I was going to drag my ass out of bed through out the holiday; I don’t own a clock, my rooster quit a few weeks earlier, and as for watches?…

I own three…but none of them actually work per se….

They do, however, decorate my arm in the most complimentary fashion when paired with a crisp shirt or a cool jacket.

I typically wear watches as decoration. In fact, a few years ago I used to wear two at a time. It looked cool but confused everyone, including myself. It was for the sake of fashion. Heck, I could even wear one watch and still be the last place to check for time!

And because watches have become jewelry. One could argue that watches have always been designed as a type of jewelry, but up until the omnipresence of the cell phone, watches had a purpose other than decoration. I think my Hubby is the last the Human being that I’m aware of who actually uses his watch to tell time.

The question that is asked the most; we hear it everyday,
What time Is it?” we ask, and then go about our business. We really need to appreciate and value time, don’t we? Time is measured in so many ways. Much like we say that Time heals all. Time is what keeps everything from happening at once.

Let’s just say, my latest statement watch from Daniel Wellington is elegant and unpretentious that goes everywhere. With sophisticated blue hand details, Roman numerals and a date display, the Dapper St Mawes is a great addition to my wardrobe, and is timeless.

So tell me, do you still wear a watch to tell time? Will you? Should you? Or do you just let it dangle off your wrist like an awesome piece of jewelry?
